It all started when...I made my first grain free granola, I was hooked. It became a weekly ritual to make this granola to have for breakfast or a snack. The rest of my family at the time didn't think much of it. Until my husband decided to try Momma's Mammoth Munch because he ran out of his german style muesli he swore was the best breakfast ever!! Well that day, he had my munch for breakfast at 6 am and discovered he wasn't hungry until lunch time, yes you read that correctly. He was shocked and amazed, because when he ate the german style muesli he was always hungry again mid-morning. Then my daughter who has an autoimmune disorder had to change her eating habits again, she tried my cereal and loves it too!! However she needed a sugar free version, so I tweaked the recipe a bit. She loves it. Now she has Momma's Mammoth Munch daily either with breakfast or as an after school snack with plain yogurt. From that time on I have loved playing in the kitchen with different low sugar, low carb, paleo treats and treasures, from donuts, candy to muffin mixes and more. You can find me most Saturday mornings at the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market from 7am -12 pm.
Munch can be enjoy in many different ways. On top of your yogurt, salad or with plain old milk, cow or dairy free. Maybe top it with some fruit or grab a bag and put some dried fruit or bits of chocolate in it.
