Many of you already know I joined Beautycounter this past summer. They manufacture skincare that is free of 1800+ chemicals that are known to be harmful to you and your loved ones. As we entered 2021 I want you to be aware of greenwashing that many manufacturers participate in. Greenwashing means that a company markets their products as natural, pure, safe, clean, but they still contain harmful chemicals. This one should be put in the "Hall of Shame". The bottle screams eco-friendly, quirky, hipster, and homemade ... but that just is NOT the case. Mrs. Meyers brand is actually owned by SC Johnson Yep! They were acquired back in 2009 by SC Johnson, the manufacturer of the following toxic products: ⚠️Raid, ⚠️Glade Plug-Ins, ⚠️Scrubbing Bubbles, ⚠️Off! bug repellent, and ⚠️Drano. The company continues to test their products on animals. Is this really a company that seems trustworthy and worth supporting? Let's take a minute and look at the packaging of Mrs. Meyers. It looks so homemade, innocent, and reminiscent of a safer brand called Dr. Bronners (this is no coincidence!). Don't be fooled! 😨 Dangerous Chemicals in Mrs Meyers Clean Day Products:
⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️If you are wanting a safe, natural cleaning option, make sure you are looking at the ingredients in your products. My favorite cleaning product that I started using almost a year ago is Branch Basics. Use my code to get $10 off your first order of Branch Basics. Other links: Have I been greenwashed? So what do I suggest? Branch Basics and Norwex are two products that I feel are worth adding to your household if you are trying to avoid chemicals.
I started using Branch Basics to clean my house and wash laundry almost 2 years. ago. I love that it is scent free. My clothes always appear clean and fresh. If you want to try Branch Basics enjoy my referral coupon of $10 off your first order.
